Improve Quality of Life and Live Longer

Obesity is a chronic condition that can reduce quality of life and increase risk for many serious diseases. Medically supervised weight loss will allow patients to improve quality of life and decrease their mortality.

In the beginning of the weight loss program, Dr. Williams analyzes the patient’s eating habits and provides a modified diet, and appetite suppressants to decrease their caloric intake.

Next, Dr. Williams helps her patients increase their energy output by developing special exercise regimens. She incorporates this step with injections of vitamin B12 to help her patients reach their energy needs and thereby maximize weight loss goals.

After the completion of the weight loss program, Dr. Williams examines her patient’s goals and recommends a regimen to continue their journey to a healthier, happier individual.

Weight Loss Principals

Dr. Williams ensures that her patients understand these 6 key principles of fat burning:

Maximize metabolism by eating less more often.

Eating small meals more often throughout the day helps to naturally speed up the metabolism.

Avoid refined sugars.

Refined sugars alter the hormonal balance of the body and may cause the body to store extra fat.

Get plenty of sleep.

Restful, natural sleep creates a hormone called leptin, which is necessary in the metabolism of food.

Drink plenty of water and green tea.

Fresh water helps speed up the body’s metabolism, prevents dehydration or water-retention, and helps to flush toxins. Green tea has many antioxidants.

Exercise regularly.

Exercising at least 3 to 5 times per week for at least 20-30 minutes increases the heart rate and burns extra calories. Resistance training helps to increase the amount of calories burnt while at rest.
